Check Street View here, and zoom in. 3D printed Oak stump, Stock Ranch Nature Preserve, Citrus Heights, California. Its on the back side of Costco/Walmart on Auburn. The stump is about 9 feet in diameter. It is a demonstration of multiple natural history processes, including oaks as wildlife habitat, and decay. In the past there were probably many old oaks of comparable size in the area, which pioneer settlers cleared for pasture and orchards. The native habitat here is undergoing restoration.

thanks bring this into sight!
how do you know it is 3D printed and not sculpted (or molded) by other processes?
do not misunderstand me: always interesting spots you post, also I can believe what you say, only your posts would be better with some further reference given I feel.
best! g
