avalanche in action in the Canadian Rockies. Once, in northern California, I picked up a binocular and looked at Mount Shasta about 100 miles distance, and just as I lifted the binocular to my eye there was an avalanche on Mount Shasta. In this case it appears literaly a satellite snapped a picture over a mountain peak just as an avalanche occurred.

no way cowboy! you must be kidding! these are clouds, only a bit of imagery error distorts their shapes. *** something I have found years ago and have posted to oGEC, is maybe an avalanche. updated placemark, set to proper imagery date I attach here: possible avalanche.kmz (806 B) how glad I have been seeing your so similar post title...! nevermind, at least you have made me remember the good old song Walk of Life from Dire Straits. "...he got the action, he got the motion..."! (: best! g
