No idea what is causing these disturbances in the water about 350 meters off-shore San Juan, Puerto Rico (18*25' 51.34N 66*01' 32.67W). Maybe large bait fish schools, or ghost pirate ships. Somebody call Jack Sparrow!

"ghost" images of small vessels on the move with trails behind. however there is something wrong with your coordinates I have managed to find other examples offshore SanJuan. these are spots (strips) of default GE imagery, where coastal and aerial data are visible as two semi-transparent layers. /same imagery glitch happening here too./ glad, I have browsed around as have found something I have never seen before: close-up detail of a tanker ship appears here as ghost image, but how on (G)Earth this close, that even sailors* on board can be spotted?! (*let them to be not sailors, then board equipment in high detail) ghosts offshore SanJuan.kmz (965 B) the second placemark signs such vessel on the move as yours (the trail behind could came from both water surface and sediment disturbance).

Really interesting...and weird stuff. Think I'll stick with the "Ghost Ship" analysis. Sorry, I did mistype the cords in first post. Should read 18 26 51 N 66 01 32 W.
