In September 2017 the discovery of a double supermassive
black hole was published in this 380 million light-years spiral galaxy
that could be observed using the Very Long Baseline Interferometry (VLBI).
These are two black holes encircling one another at intervals of 1.1 light-years,
with a total mass of 36 million solar masses.
