I've got some placemarks which I recorded with my GPS unit which I then used Garmin Basecamp to show in Google Earth. They appeared in Temporary Places. I copied them from here to my My Places folder. Now whenever I open GE up they don't show. I have to select them, and go Properties/View/Reset each time I want to see them. Then the lat/long details get filled in and they appear as expected.
How can I fix this so that the placemarks always show?
Thanks

Thanks Hi there I don't use Base Camp I still use Mapsource but I don't see that as being a Problem. But if you close GE when the your GPS track is Enabled in your My Places file It should still be Enabled when you Next Reopen GE The Historical Tab may have to be Enabled each time though as some of your Waypoints may not show if not Enabled. Also you can Import direct to GE from your Garmin GPS. See Tool / GPS and Set the settings to your own Choice Trust this helps a little

Thanks. Actually I remember now - Basecamp insisted that GE was not running even though it was, so I had to export the placemarks as a gpx file and then open that in GE. So there was an extra step.
I don't see a historical tab in GE - I'm using the downloadable version maybe it's something on the web based version.
When I use Tools/GPS I tick the box for Waypoints but they don't get imported, only tracks.
For now it's looking like I just have to manually duplicate all placemarks within GE.

Yes, that doesn't make any difference. Can't see why it should really - it just shows older satellite photos. My placemarks don't have any date dependency.
