Stubble burning

Hi All!

We have some posts around here about wildfires, their effects to environment and so on, but have not seen anything yet about Stubble burning, this common agricultural method for cleaning stubble after harvest.

Sad, I cannot find again that great StreetView location in Bulgaria I have bumped into some months ago, but fortunately one scene has been conserved in a mounds-update post,



and now this one from Ukraine that made me start this thread:

As find more, the more I think they have deep skills in burning right there in Russia.
Just check this one:


They do it in phases: have started next to the woods (probably by other wind directions) then made another line of fire (probably with a used tyre in flames, chained behind a tractor), keeping the trees safe all the time.

Not stubble, but an empty riverbed with dried up reed burning in it from southern Kazakhstan.
