At just 2 meters tall, the Venta Rapid, or Ventas Rumba in Latvian, is one of the smallest waterfalls in the world. But its low height is compensated by its impressive width. At its widest, which happens during spring floods, Ventas Rumba is up to 270 meters wide making it the widest waterfall in Europe. What great place on Earth! Thank you have brought it into sight! (link for not less nice hometown of the waterfall) Until now, the only thing I have known about Latvia was, that the canned fish from Riga were delicious. Smoked- sprats in vegetable oil still is my favorite. (only sprinkled with fresh lemon juice and with bread/toast and butter) mmm...!(: Score by you for the nice solution with the bluedot link for GEC Layer location! (or some other reason?) I have noticed already by other posts from you. |
