"Daniel Nason" Boston & Providence - 1858 4-4-0 American type locomotive designed by Master Mechanic George S. Griggs and built at the Boston & Providence Railroad shops. The "Daniel Nason" is the only surviving example of "Dutch Wagon" practice where the steam cylinders are inside the locomotive frame, a design popular prior to the Civil War. It is a wood burning locomotive with 16" x 20" cylinders and 54" drive wheels. Source The locomotive is part of museum in Kirkwood, Mo., called Museum of Transportation GMaps Blue Dot
