pretty cool find! notice its shadow on the upper left of your screenshot! - it is a small zeppelin for sure also, that it flies above a military base (check photo layer and... *). all of those I have seen myself were for commercial purposes. ... *p.s.: Check Places layer and click the Airport symbol (plane) just to the right! - Whadda... ? Inside the info-balloon, well written description of the military airport can be read just below the photo of the soldier, who -by best bet- is standing on the walls of Kaafer Qala (Kak Kohzad Citadel) 10 kilometers to S. Kaafer Qala.kmz (858 B) Rather interesting story and great photos about exploring The Mysterious Well of the site by Michael Yon, and further great shots in GE photo layer are available. but how on earth? -has the guy some buddy at Google?

Of course, U.S. Army's Space and Missile Defense Command is poss. responsible for the zeppelin. "Long Endurance Multi-Intelligence Vehicle" (LEMV) could be one name. However, the length is over 70 meters. Mission: Air surveillance & drone defense. The detected zeppelin could be a smaller version. Please, have also a look at "Joint Land Attack Cruise Missile defense Elevated Netted Sensor System" (JLENS - colloquially spy balloon). So long, Pitter

Yes, certainly a smaller version, Pitter. Using the GE ruler facility, this one measures out at around 36 metres long. Note also the balloon's shadow on the car park about 500 metres NNW of the balloon itself. It's probably a Lockheed Martin 74K.
Cheers, Frank

Hi Frank, thanks for your important clue and the identification by type. You are right, Lockheed Martin 74 K is the designation. So long, Pitter
