So apparently a ex-US Air Force pilot found what looks like to be a plane just under the water at the Cape of Good Hope. I figured I should "repost" this as it has gotten some attention on internet news. Fortunately, I believe it is most likely the movement of the water that coincidently out of chance looked like a plane. But of course, you can decide what you think it is. You will need to back up time to July 25, 2015. It will automatically back-track for you, but you need to manually do it to see the "plane". Back up the time to 4/4/2015, and then go forward a bit back to 7/25/15. Enjoy it. MH370.kmz (843 B)

There are some problems with this. According to Wikipedia, MH370's original flight plan was from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing, and in case of emergency, it could divert from the airport in Beijing to an airport in Hangzhou.
MH370 carried 49100 kg of fuel. It was calculated that flying from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing would use 37200 kg, and flying from Beijing to Hangzhou would use 10700 kg of fuel. So flying from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing to Hangzhou would use all but a tiny fraction (1200 kg) of its fuel. The distance from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing to Hangzhou is about 5600 km.
It is over 9500 km from Kuala Lumpur to the Cape of Good Hope, and even if MH370 somehow managed to stretch its range an extra 1500 km using extra fuel and gliding, etc, it would not make it within 2000 km of the Cape.
So the plane would have run out of fuel before reaching South Africa. Therefore, it is only possible for the plane to be at the placemark you provided if it landed at sea without being damaged and drifted on the ocean for at least 2000 km and ended up within 250 meters of shore at a beach. And the plane would have to not be noticed by anyone actually at the Cape.
So it is very likely that, as you suggested, this is just pareidolia.

It would be rare for a plane landing so close to the coast had not been notified, I'm sure people call for emergencies just by seeing a hot air balloon ...
