I love this haunting song, the off-kilter camera work and gritty edit.  A  more commercial version of this song was in a car ad on TV a couple of years ago and I wanted to find out more about the song. When I finally found it on YT after many search word combinations, such as "I'll be there," or even "car commercial song," because I couldn't remember the car it advertised.  At last I found it and discovered that almost every comment was something like, "Finally found it!"  This older version was even more enthralling.  Shortly after, I noticed the singer changed the name from "Mountains" to "I'll Be There."

Groovy, I had no idea he was a joke over there.  Funny thing is, I didn't know until looking it up just now that Simply Red was the name of the band and that someone named Mick Hucknall was the lead singer. Anyway, then it occurred to me that maybe he had died and reincarnated as Ed Sheeran.

Good question. Where is PIT?  An invitation was sent, but he hasn't joined.  Yet.  

Anyhoo, Gregg, that is the corniest song ever and I hadn't heard it in ages!  

 More cowbell. 

PIT declined our offer to join, I think he thought it was going to be a waste of time, but if he pops by he may very well see that it's not.

Damn you folks are relentless...


"Waste of time" is strong take on my absence, TL, but a lack of time certainly plays a huge role. I've been hesitant to jump in for a several reasons, one of which was recently quoted by Washi here, Regardless of my reservations, t's great to see you all here.


Gregg, I'm not sure how to take the fact that the most annoying and hideous song that we all forgot about for a damned good reason instantly reminds you of me, but considering our friendship I'll let it slide

It's truly a pleasure to talk to you again, Hill. The 2nd video is just the moment that I realized that I should at least check in and see how the new playground is doing. I just made it public, but I'm not sure if that is all it's gonna take for the public to view it. If not, it's not worth the fuss. Just a slice of my life - aircraft, good tunes and more cowbell.
