Hello,
I've been using Nasa's 'Black Marble' KML file for the last couple of months. Recently it seems it doesn't work anymore - red X's instead of the actual overlay are being displayed.
I understand KML ( kmz ) files load the imagery remotely if no local data is present. ( ? ) Did NASA discontinue the 'support' for this overlay? Is there any other way to continue to use it?
Regards, rhw

Hi, In such cases, just right click the placemark and enter Properties. In the description text box, you can find the link of the images. Copy the links and try to directly view them in your explorer.

Hi rhw, I just downloaded the kml file from here, and it's working for me. Maybe it was just a temporary glitch?
