This is a side-project of #FortressEarth (which is trying to map every fort and castle visible via satellite). This has 1,238 star forts, associated "star-like" polygonal forts, and "star cities". As far as I can tell, this is 95%+ of all star forts in the world. Fortified "star city" Lucca, Italy For more information about the project jacobsearth.blogspot.com/2016/12/a-world-filled-with-stars.htmlGoogle Earth File A lot of these places you have created placemarks, have already been tagged. And are viewed in the Old GEC. Enabled Google Earth Community layer to see that ( i) is already there.

Although many may have been marked in the oGEC, this project is a great piece of work by JacobBogle. We welcome the post.
Thanks

ET_Explorer, you are correct that many have been marked, although there are hundreds that haven't been. Additionally, none of the old GEC placemarks are part of a single star-fort specific project, which is what I aimed to do. I just wanted to provide a single place where people interested in the topic can find them all (or at least the vast majority) without having to spend large amounts of time tracking them down.
