Just saw a film about this exotic profession and found that they even have a monument. Found a nice doggie, too: GSV with no spoilers please

CLUE
Their names translate roughly as saddle-men but they no more carry people on their back, only goods, especially flowers.

ANSWER
This is the monument of silleteros, or saddle-men in Santa Elena, Antioqia, Colombia
Coordinates: 6°12'34.82" N 75°29'52.56" W
OFF
I learned about silleteros from the first feature film by Columbian director Ciro Guerra, entitled 'La Sombra del Caminante' (Wandering Shadows). Interestingly, all of his three feature films so far have been nominated by his home country into the Best Foreign Language Film category of the Academy Award, and the third one, 'Embrace of the Serpent' got into the final five in 2015 ('Son of Saul' of Hungary won that year).
