Or that the resolution is simply not sharp enough to tell anything at all about the surface of the 8' x 8' structure, save what your imagination can conger.
But what do you suppose it is? My guess is that it may be a seismic measuring station. That's the only thing that I can guess, stuck out on the point that way, removed from anything but a 4-wheel track.

Is that a vehicle parked on the side of the track 327.74 yards at heading 47.82 degrees ?
Another half dozen or so scattered around the clearing 1303 yards away at heading 77.80 degrees also.

Nice find on the vehicles, NS. Comparing the length of the shadows confirms that the "building" is probably not high enough to be a building. Before I posed the question about what the object was, I checked a USGS topo map and found nothing. Silly me! I should have done the more obvious thing and checked Google Maps. Doing a search, I found that the RADIO STATION has been renamed, and Wikipedia gives a new location for its transmission facility. (Is it a tower? I'm surprised that I can't see anything like an antenna, only something that looks to me like a bare naked lady.) Attachments:KSIZ.kmz (719 B)

Bare naked lady? She must have gone home, washi, because I didn't see her at your KSIZ link. A lot of cars are parked near that location at tourist viewpoints - three of them. The one farthest north has a rock maze and a lot of Panoramios.

I said to someone recently, "we human beings actually sense very little of what is happening around us, and ... most of what we perceive as reality is actually constructed in our heads. Most of what we see in Google Earth is full of potential ambiguity, and often how we interpret it depends on what we hope or expect to see." If ET can imagine he sees painted out writing on the old broadcast facility, I don't see why I can't see a naked lady on the new one. You, who gained world fame with the phase, "Well, now!" ought to be able to understand the concept.
