I just downloaded & installed Google Earth Pro OMG!! I have been mesmerized by what this software can do & have been looking at my apartment& surrounding area for hours! I plan on using Earth Pro in my search for a piece of land which will (likely) be hours away from where I currently live. Thanks to all you Google developers & add-on/utility developers!

helló vince! i like your enthusiasm and exactly know how you feel now. just these were my first thoughts and reactions too some ten years ago when firstly have met GE. but hey, it is just a ware anyhow it is soft!(: you should to do instead something with it! the software "only" can show you big amount of data from various aspects of life around you. (you should mean that 'around' interstellar switching to Planets or GSky mode on the top panel) but notice part of this data also is provided by users (Photo layer, Google Earth Community layer, ... - check 'Layers' panel on the left) as it were in oGEC times. (an example of one of my uploaded kmz file became GEC layer content) you can make placemarks, paths, polygons, overlays, good quality measurements,... and all your notes, findings, stories, collections, other sorts of data you think relevant can be uploaded and discussed here on forum. by this time however we are not sure around here on nGEC what our uploaded kmz files will be used for in the future or shall be ignored, creating extra content with this great software still stays fun. after obtaining some routine on using GE, you might even 'put something on the table'*!(; (*hungarian saying to tell one reached something good and/or valuable and/or important by their own forces)welcome and best! g
