I want to look at some older GE maps of a lake that I've recently started fishing. It's a BIG lake. Fort Peck Montana It is unmapped on my fish finder so I can't view it that way.The lake was way down 10-15 yrs ago. The lake up now. There's all sorts of stuff down there that I want to find for fishing purposes and for boat safety so i don't hit anything with my prop. I hit 1 underwater island already. I was in deep water and it came up so fast. $120 for a new prop. Could have been the lower unit which is major $$$$. Anyway, previous to Google Crome I had GE downloaded and could click on Older Imagery and I could go back and see how things have changed over the years. Now I have GC and GE is in the top right corner of my screen in the maps section. Is there a way to look at older imagery thru GC. The GE icon is no longer on my screen saver and it won't allow my to download it due to my security settings. I'm not sure what my security setting are. I didn't set them up. I'm not what you call computer literate so this is a little challenging for me. I just don't want hit anything w/ boat! Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

Hi, Google Earth is a standalone application which you can download and install from here. What type of computer do you have? You can install Google Earth on Windows, Mac and Linux, but not on Chromebooks. You need Google Earth to see the historical imagery, Google Maps in your browser doesn't have this. You could try this: Run Google Earth on Chromebook. It may be a bit slow, you won't be able to save any placemarks, and they say they are limiting you to 15 minutes, but it may help. If you have further questions, please ask them in the official help forum and give as much information as possible. Thank you.
