Hi everyone, I have a lot of placemarks locating near to each other in the map for google earth.
Is there any way to make something like a path around them to select it all to be exported to any text file/excel for example?

Perhaps I misunderstand your meaning. Do you know how to create a folder and move your related placemarks into it? If not, I suggest you look at this THREAD OF BASIC TIPS.

thanks for your fast reply
what I mean that if I have i.e thousand of placemarks near to each other on the map itself , it is a very complicated way to put every placemark on a definite folder to collect it all for another purpose , I want to select all in one step to make a path (if it possible) around it to be exported to text or excel file?

I can't think of any fast and easy way to do what you want, but I wouldn't give up hope without asking your question (with as complete a description of what you want to do and why) in the Google Earth Help Forum. You'll find a link at the top right of this page.
Good luck! And let us know if you find a solution.

Honored.. Bad news is that the macro cannot import a kml file. I did some premature codes and tests in the past for a new version but did not try to integrate them into the current version. Using a polygon as a selection area is an old idea. I don't know if there is a tool for that. This is not a too difficult coding job. Someone could have achieved that by now.
