Folks,
I know the last few years have been rough and the BBS that was created in 2002 got lost somewhat in the Google transition, but I'm very happy to see the spirit kept alive here and wanted to thank the moderators and users of the original GEC for all their work over the years. I still see a great future for Google Earth.

I sent a PM before I saw this thread. So, what I said, and once again thanks for getting the whole thing started. The UBB threads software did well for us for a long time. This forum works about the same way as it did. I hope you can add a post for us once in a while.

I used to be at GEC back in 2010 with the old old design as the username "antdoghalo/nogard2012". Then I got so much into Wikimapia that I nearly forgot this place and when I remembered and really wanted to return here in 2012, I found that I had to get a Google account to use it. Last night that changed upon discovering this new design and I quickly created a new account (I don't remember the password of the old one and I didn't think it would still work). I still have some of the KML files from back then and some new ones since then.
I recognize some of you from way back then.
