It's difficult to make the comparison you suggest just by looking at the EU Tower. Please post a placemark on the Tower of Babel.

So you or anyone else can compare the two.

The Tower of Babel was destroyed ages ago. So use the link to compare.

I was really sad at not being able to do what any baby can do. I guess I was confused by all the different shapes I found in the image search you sent. Many look like inverted cones that somebody had bitten off the point of. Some seemed to be shaped more like pyramids or ziggurats. I couldn't find any, except for the EU Tower itself, that were cylindrical. So I went back and looked again, and near the bottom I found a map. It was hard to overlay, and I couldn't find the site from the map, but fortunately, the same website had a photograph of the ruins, which I was able to find. Looking at the ruins, I can see except for the size, shape, color, and building materials, it is almost exactly identical to the EU. Boy oh boy, God must really be pissed at the Europeans to deprive them now of the benefits of the English language.

Oh, that one! Why didn't you say?
Well, like I said:
So how do you suppose Mr. P. Bruegel Sr., working in the 16th century, knew what the EU Tower would look like?

Of course Bruegel never knew what the EU tower would look like. He just painted what he thought the TOB would look like. What I'm saying is why would EU elite want to copy what the TOB might have looked like. They even said they copied the look of it. See now? anythingcrazy

Why indeed? Who are these people called EU elites? It sounds like a term Donald Trump or Spiro Agnew would use to attack persons unknown, and therefore who would not answer back. Is Angela Merkel an EU elite? Is François Hollande an EU elite? Or are the EU elites just a bunch of fat cats who got together and decided that if they could make the Louise Weiss Building look like Pete Bruegel's idea of the Tower of Babel (a tale that ended decidedly badly) that somehow all that nonsense of pan European economic interdependence and peace would also end badly, and they could get on about the profitable business of selling arms to their respective governments and reaping the benefits of protective tarriffs.
So I can understand the point of your post, please provide us with the names of a couple of these people you call EU elites, and a place or two where they are on record for saying they wanted the Weiss Building to look like Bruegel's Towers of Babel.

Jeezz, Bryan!
Did you really think I wouldn't be familiar with the member nations of the EU, and how to find them if I wasn't? Or were you just upping you post count? Or trying to change the subject?
I just wanted that other guy to know that even in this forum that was created for loonies, wild and unsubstantiated statements will not go unchallenged.
But if you know of anyone who might be considered an EU elite ever having gone on record of wanting the Weiss Building to resemble Bruegel's (or anybody else's) conception of what the Tower of Babel looked like, please cite a verifiable reference.

My God. Like ET_Explorer said, the 'elite' is just a term I used for the high ranking political leaders at the EU. Get learned. I do not have a verifiable reference on this topic. The EU would never disclose why they copied the TOB. But they did copy it. They even left it 'unfinished' to make it look even more similar. So don't give the teacher BS, because you look unlearned.

It is my understanding that the reason the Weiss Building was deliberately given an unfinished appearance was because a united Europe was an unfinished product. The notion that the design of the building (and of course the creation of the Union itself) is the work of a cabal of demonic evil-doers, hell bent on destroying Christianity and ruling the world is in my view utter unsubstantiated nonsense. According to one internet WEBSITE, the goals of these unnamed sons of Nimrod are: 1. A gradual introduction of tyranny 2. The elimination of the worship of God to introduce dependence on power 3. All people speaking the same language and the same religion 4. Rejecting God while trying to become gods There are many similar sites. I examined a couple more ( HERE and HERE) and found none of the writers were willing or able to specifically identify these evil EU elites or provide any credible evidence for their assertions. How can I "get learned" if they (and you) will not provide with me the names of the 'elite' high ranking political leaders at the EU and evidence of their evil intentions. There is, it seems to me, quite enough evil in this world without inventing it where it doesn't exist.

That's for sure: wise words. However, I hadn't realised that the European Parliament building was the subject of so many conspiracy theories until AC pointed it out. It's interesting to draw parallels between the Tower of Babel and the EP Tower as being useless edifices built by polyglot megalomaniacs, but having read some of the links suggested by AC and Washi, I'd like to offer the thought that this isn't down to any great satanic conspiracy - the European Elite (and they're not countries - they are real people!) do exist, but I don't believe they're any sort of Illuminati at all - they're just ordinary down-to-earth megalomaniacs...
Several other suggestions:
1. Washi: You're obviously bored, otherwise you wouldn't be debating here with the TOSSers. The original post was a whimsical, tongue-in-cheek notion cast on the waters by AC, and really does not require the academic rigour mooted by your reply, which was, I'm convinced, equally tongue-in-cheek.
2. AC: You obviously haven't met my old friend Washi before; who, as well as being a much-respected - and far from unlearned - poster in his own right, is also a Grand Master of the wind-up. He was on a fishing expedition and you bit...
3. ET: While your post was obviously intended to be an emollient, it's usually good advice to stay out of some else's bunfight!
Anyway, what I need now is for y'all to play nicely, or you'll have to sit on the naughty step. Let's, by all means, have the cut-and-thrust of vigorous - even heated - debate. That's all good. It's perfectly legitimate to contest, perhaps even ridicule, an opponent's arguments, but we must never get personal about it. Attack the argument, but not the man.
Now, off you go and play nicely together.
Cheers,
Frank (in his Moderator capacity)

There is, it seems to me, quite enough evil in this world without inventing it where it doesn't exist. I have to say, you nearly got it right. Unfortunately, like I said, the EU elite don't disclose anything at all. The unfinished part of the building was not to show Europe as unfinished business, but to copy the TOB. And whoever thinks otherwise should do some research. After all, the EU is the future footstool of the NWO spearheaded by an individual person. And we all should know who that is. 😉 anythingcrazy
