Forgive me if I may have overlooked any parallel or identical question/answer, in here or outside the community. I have for a long time observed that Google Maps on my mobile devices like Android phone and Apple Ipad display newer imagery than both Google Maps and Google Earth on my lapstops and PC's. It seems like it's only Maps on mobile devices that display newer imagery, not Google Earth on same mobile devices. I even find 3D imagery that is based on different version/age og buildings and structure in the different apps/platforms. That is most likely to an extent explained by some delay in (re)genrating and distribute new versions of 3D, but it dont explain why I found areas that for years still are different. Anyone know if there is there any information or explanations on why the 'apps' for longer periods like many month and years are 'out of sync' ? Thanks and best regards Tom Exampel from Danish city Aarhus (56.1537001,10.2143041) in Denmark, Europe, Earth: Images on PC (win10) Google Maps (firefox) AND Google Earth Pro all show old(er):Image on mobile phone (android) and Ipad Google Maps show new(er):

Hi Tom, the older images show 3D imagery, and that often is older, due to the amount of time taken to process it. There's a blog post about this here: Processing 3D imagery. If you turn off 3D buildings in GE on your computer you should see the newer imagery. It's strange you don't see the 3D imagery on your phone and iPad, here's what I see on my android phone: Are your devices older maybe and can't show the 3D imagery? If you have an older version of GE on android there may be a toggle for this. Not sure about iOS.

Hi Noisette Thank you very much for your reply. Well, ends up just in my old original google earth viewpoint just using good old Google, earth and maps, and more... Seems and feels nowadays that there are so many variations of apps and platforms and options on/off and more that there may be no real reason to try to compare. Best regards /Tom
