In 2015, September 10th, our house burned down. Along with about 700 others. It was called the "Butte fire". The only imagery that shows the area is in May, 2014. We really wanted to see it as it was happening, but would settle for some pics of it right afterwards. All we see now is the greenery as it WAS. We'd like to see, morbidly, how brown it was after. All the area is starting to go back to green, which is good. But it's like it never happened. (except that the trees are all gone.) Couldn't you make it show at the date of Sept, 2015? Please? This is in California, Calaveras county.

Hi yvonbug, welcome to the GEC. I just looked up your County and found that by using the time slider in the Historical View I was able to go forward to a date of 9/20/15. Ten days after the date you mentioned. It is Digital Globe Imagery and appears to be in black & white. Calaveras county.kmz (788 B) I wonder if that would be of any use to you. It looks like there are also other services available that supply historical satellite imagery for your area. aerial archivesGoogle Search
Hope this helps, best of luck with your search.
