Take a look at this thing on South Georgia Island. -54.662324° -36.195153° I'm from Florida and don't know anything about snow fields but that thing looks like it's 200 ft. long. The trail is about 3500 ft. long. Any ideas? It was reported on the Maps and Earth help forum.

My guess is a rock/s broke off and rolled down the mountain.

My guess is a rock/s broke off and rolled down the mountain. I tend to agree with TL. Reminds me of the trail left by the moving stones in the Death Valley - Link

The Death Valley trails were the first thing I thought of also. Snow avalanches can 'run out' like that but everything else stopped. I think it might be a rock also except it seems like a piece of rock that size would sink in. There seem to be some other pieces that that didn't slide like that. A big ice overhang maybe.
