Hi all, www2.ralf-vandebergh.simpsite.nl//Today I have released a new website about the Google Earth F-16 flight simulator and how it compares in landings to the real thing. This may be the only specialistic site about this simulator available on the web. You will find some basics about the landing of fast aircraft, analysis with cockpit video footage of real F-16's in comparison with the simulator and some experimental landing techniques when landing from a steep approach. I hope it will be useful for some people and it might aswer some questions. Thanks, Best regards, Ralf Vandebergh aviation/spaceflight journalist

There soon will be a second page 'Professional flying with Google', a continuation of the site with in-flight analyses of the aerodynamics of the simulator using comparisons to cockpit video footage of rolls and loopings of a real F-16.
Also there will be a part about how to try out the principle of stabilized approaches with this simulator and an experiment how you can let the aircraft land itself on the runway with hands fully off the controls. The simplicity of the Google simulator brings you really back to the basics, you have to do all controls manually like in the old days of aviation.
