I'm posting this newbie topic here, because the first location in my example is a military location. In short my question is: Where do I post buildings/locations that don't seem labeled yet in the different layers Google Earth application? Or: where do I find such labelings? (have i missed a layer or something)
While on vacation in Paris I noticed the city has a lot of buildings, big impressive buildings, that you can't immediately see from the outside what they are. One of these buildings is on the west side of Place Baudoyer, between the Hôtel de Ville and the Marie de Paris 4e Arrondissement. I launched Google Earth when I was home, thinking: surely, someone must have wondered the same thing, found out what it was, labeled it and put it on Google Earth? But even when I enable all layers, the location of the building in question remains empty of any labels AND of panoramio photos. Because of that last fact, I already thought it must be some kind of government or military building that doesn't let in visitors. Anyway, by Googling the street name "Place Baudoyer", I found on the French Wikipedia that it is the Caserne Lobau, also known informally as Caserne Napoléon. 'Caserne' is French for barrack(s).
So: 1. Is this new information on Google Earth? Or could I have found it somewhere that I missed? I enabled all layers that are displayed in Google Earth by default. 2. If it is new, is this information that is considered interesting for me to post somewhere? And if so: where do I post it so that other users of Google Earth can easily find it?

Hello ragingr2,
Welcome to the new Google Earth Community.
It was once possible to post placemarks of locations on Google Earth on the Old Google Earth Community.
Once a month or so Google Earth would scrape, or collect all those placemarks and add them to the Google Earth Community Layer on Google Earth.
However, that is no longer possible since Google Earth retired the Old Community forums.
Your best option to share locations and placemarks on GE now is here, on the New Google Earth Community.
Good luck and Cheers.
