This is old Cobra Emerald mine which used to be one of the largest in the world. The same parent group that owns the Capricorn Sapphire Mine in Australia and used to own TanzaniteOne in Tanzania is putting the mine back together, rehabilitating it, and starting mining operations on the extension of the deposit. Being on the edge of the Kruger the people doing the rehab there report that there is plenty of wildlife living around the mine.
It will be quite exciting seeing them get this one back up and running.
