Hi Larry,
My opinion about the elements on the roof: the square element is for aeration, two Tobruk-Ringstand's in the N- and S-corners and one protected area for a FLAK-gun in the W-corner. Clearly to see in pictures and movie.
There is no indication for Würzburg-radar. It makes finally no sense to position on a troop bom shelter elements attracting enemy attacks.

Chriusha - I have looked at a number of 'Wurzburg' sockets and I still think that these two objects are the correct size and shape for 'Wurzburg' radar dishes. Moreover, why would one place machinegun positions so far above the ground? Their field of fire would be compromised to say the least. I have also seen other examples of radars on top of large bunkers, I suspect mainly for the range advantage by being well above the earth's surface.

Please compare movie at 1:10. It is not only my opinion. And on several photos in your link you may see that the two (slim walled) Tobruk's are simply positioned freely on the roof. I don't know any photo with a Würzburg on a concret socket – they were mobile. And for the Giant Würzburg the base is for sure not solid enough. Those sockets look different and compare wall size.

Hi, Chriusha - I have to agree with you, on re-viewing the movie it is clear that these features are not Giant Wurzburg sockels (plinths). The wall shape is completely different from FuMG 65 - I should have caught that! Thank you for the criticism, it made me review Wurzburgs and that is a good thing. BTW I found a good video on these radars during my search.
Cheers from Canada

A very fine and delicate scale model work shown in that video! In northern France it is worth to have a look near Douvres-la-Délivrande: a complete Würzburg-Riese radar station may be visited. Wurzburg Riese Radar.kmz (690 B)
