Dana Payton. Barnstormer66

Today, we have had to say goodbye to our old friend Barnstormer66, Dana. He put up a brave battle against Angiosarcoma but lost.
We wish him, his family and all that knew him the very best.
Sorely missed. 

I am happy.
Happy that I had the great fortune to have known and met a great man.
I am happy that he left a piece of himself for the world to share.
I look back upon his posts, an insight into the humorous, knowledgeable and kindhearted man that he was and that makes me happy.
We GEC members and visitors are extraordinarily lucky to have had the mentoring and friendship from this man who has left a legacy of his posts among the GEC and that makes me very happy.
But I am devastated at the passing of my friend Dana.
I am devastated for his family, friends and colleagues that have also lost him.
We'll miss you Dana.

Sad times. I was reflecting on Dana's passing and just how many people's lives he touched. He is globally mourned - by us here on nGEC, his international student family and his own clan spread wide. How many can say that. Rest in peace Dana, we will miss you.

Aye, we've been missing his warm heart, good humour and wise counsel - a good man and a good friend.
