@dweeklyThere was no driver to ticket, so the officer talked to the, presumably, hapless and embarrassed human in the passenger seat. ( NBC news) This is the first law-breaking driverless car - or, the first one to get caught. Hey, I wish drivers would get pulled over in my town for driving 10mph under the speed limit!

I wondered the same thing. There was a passenger, I suppose monitoring such things, so maybe he's the one who pulled over. I'm confused about (1) how driverless cars will be of any benefit to anyone, (2) how they will avoid making everyone else crazy, thus (3) how often they will become road-rage magnets. So far, they are being tested in relatively savvy and genteel places like Mountain View...
