Ring.kmz (706 B) Someone went to the trouble of making a perfect ring on a rock face. The placemark takes you to the Niagara River Gorge(down stream from the famous Niagara Falls), near the Niagara whirlpool. This is a dangerous area not open to the public, but has lift cars that go over the whirlpool.

Update: Checking with the Niagara Falls historian, it turns out its ... a helicopter pad! Apparently they marked the spot in case they need to land a helicopter in an emergency. I was hoping for an Indian artifact, but it won't be.

Hello Carl2,
Ring have very sigificant meaning because easy to produce and highligt (intellectual distinct from nature) human activity.
Maybe you'd find the Exmoor Park (UK) attached rings to your taste, not only in reason of their singular location and existence, but also due to the fact they are 100 km distant from Stonehenge.
"Everyone" agrees these people (who drew them, whoever they are), did'nt know of today's metric ISO standards, and reason more since far from British Imperial, but few also know metric standard's real origins.
Thus we have 5 circles of 32 meters diameter, or 100 meter circumference, and one of 20 m diameter or 62 meter circumference (metres, not yards). Maybe more lie around the place.
Considering 32 metres is almost 32,36 or 20 Phi metres, and 62 almost 61,8 or 100/Phi meters and distance to Stonehenge 100 km, we here have a considerable illustration that possible relations exist beween many other Gold circles and monuments spread out across the globe.
On the other hand, they may just be helicopter landing pads drawn out for tourists or fire brigades, but trees in some circles indicate they are older than helicopters, and not horizontal level enougth to be landing sites.
Whatever, the site is known to have been inhabited since dawn of prehistory, and still many things to find out there...
What do you think ?

Very interesting, you found a ring world. They must be archaeological sites. It's interesting they are mostly on that road, perhaps the road is old as well? Here's another: Anotherring.kmz (722 B)
