A shape created in Google Earth can be opened in Google Earth Pro. If the Properties option is clicked, and then the measurement tab, the area and the perimeter of the shape can be read. This shape around Kyūhōji Park was drawn in GE and opened in GEP. (If I really cared about knowing the area, I'd be more careful in drawing the shape, excluding, for example, the express way that runs through it.) You can download at no cost Google Earth Pro >> HERE<<. Be sure to read the note about the license key in the upper right of the download page. Technical questions like yours are best ask at >> The Google Earth Help Forum<< (Link at the top of this page). Here, we're just a bunch of people interested in using Google Earth to explore our world. The GEHF is where you can rely on finding expert help.
