OK, I have windows 8.1. I have never had any problems with Google Earth. Suddenly it just stopped. I open it and just get the blue spinning circle "not responding". So I cleared cache, deleted (after a backup) my kml file. Uninstalled and re installed. Checked my Directx and card. I am not sure what else to try? I use this program a lot and have a ton of information saved on "my places".
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thank you - Brian

Yeah I tried on the google site and nobody ventured an answer. Also tried the fix's on the google support site. Maybe I have an oddball issue.
Thanks

Hi, I see you have tried all the fixes Noisette on the help group suggested. I think this is a firewall update problem, try turning any off including windows firewall and any 3rd party ones, then try and start GE.
Let us know so we can try and help further.
