We've all heard of the Headless Horseman, but I was quite surprised when I stumbled across this horse. I suspect this was intentionally photoshopped by a Google scamp having some fun. Why? Because of that pole thingydingy that connects to the harness. It shouldn't be there if it's just a stitching anomoly. The horse really does have a head. HeadlessHorse.kmz (797 B)

Amusing find! Just to play the devil's advocate, I suspect that the headlessness is merely an illusion. I think the horse has its head turned to the right and lowered. Notice how the right (to use your technical language) pole thingydingy is visible, but lowered.

AH-HAH! I hadn't thought of that. I believe you're right washi. The angle of the two other thingydingies with the balls on top corroborate your hypothesis.
