The Ubiquitous DC-3

Another one of those placemarks where you need to go back to the future to see it.
The current default imagery of Valkenburg from 2008 is pixelated.
In the historic layer however, there is newer imagery from 2012 and 2014 which both show C-47B G-AMCA on the ramp.

If the imagery was from a couple of minutes later, it could have been another in flight capture.

Both the C-47 and C-123 are out of the hangar on the latest imagery.
Still don't know how they squeeze them both into the one hangar.

Only a movement of an existing entry, but worthwhile because of the presence of the Goodyear airship "Wingfoot One" at the same airport.

The DC-3A has registration N600NA and first flew in 1941. It is now used for pilot training and check flights for currency.

Historical imagery would suggest it is either a frequent visitor, or a permanent resident.

I have updated the initial post to include a number of new discoveries and relocation of DC-3's and similar planes. This is the first update in about 5 months. All new locations were posted by persistent searcher v6srs. So thanks, Sean and keep up the good work. 

I have not investigated all old placemarks so some planes may have moved. You may still be able to see them by using the Historical Imagery time slider.

Spent a few days on Saint Simons Island over the 4th of July holiday and saw a DC-3 at its airport.

Finally remembered to check to big list to see if it was on there.  It isn't... so here it is.

I've found what I'm pretty sure is a DC-3 of some variety in the 1945 UK imagery at 52°19'50.78" N 0°55'16.68" E.

Found a great new video of a 95-year-old veteran who got to fly the same C-47 that he flew during the Normandy Invasion...  Beautiful video work as well...

It's over Ukrainian airspace - flying... Maybe an Antonov An-28?

And it is in flight. Good catch in 16 year old imagery.

Street view gives a good profile of the nose of the plane. C-46 for sure.

The DC-3 at New Smyrna Beach has changed its position and now has a D-Day paint scheme...  (If it's the same airplane)

It looks like the original plane that has been very nicely restored. It retains the observation dome on top of the cockpit area. It is possible someone took the wrecked plane mentioned here and rebuilt it.
