A small airplane crashed into a residential neighborhood in Tokyo Sunday, July 26, 2015. Two of the five people in the aircraft were killed, as well as one person in one of the houses that was struck. Five people were injured. The plane took off from Chōfu Airport in western Tokyo about 11 am and crashed about half a kilometer from the end of the runway. It was bound for Izu Ōshima Island.
