Hello,
I am new here and this is my first post. So forgive me if I am in the wrong area.
Is there a way to create a "Sun Layer" for a specific time and day and then in 3D view see how the sun will interact with the landscape such as buildings, trees and mountains?
I have to pick venues to hold weekend events for a large group of people and dogs. I can measure area, get traffic flow, see the environment etc, but the one very important variable is the sun. I don't want to schedule events on days that may be 90-100 degrees if the sun will be shining directly on us. I know they have apps in Google Play that can do this, i.e. Sun Surveyor, Living in the Sun etc. But they lack all the things we love about Google Earth.
If I could just get such a layer for Google Earth, that would be great.
Thanks,

The Weather can change day by Day - The Sun's position in the sky every day is fixed by the time of year and your location. So Events should be planned for the time of day when it is not directly overhead.. Earlier in the Morning or from Mid afternoon. Except on days when it is raining / Snowing etc :-) But Check this site out - It may help Sun Position Lets know if that helps. EDIT Mode... And here is another very simple one to use... astro.unl.edu/naap/motion3/animations/sunmotions.htmlJust change the Map slider to your position and Slide the Moths along :-)
