I think, it's a good idea.
With such quality (said to have bit rate 20 megabits per second) and compression of 24 hours to 2 minutes one day in some location costs just 300 MB.

A year would cost just 109.5 GB or 109.8 GB. Very, very cheap. The original pictures would cost terabytes per year, though.
