Tourists, often very young ones, are frequently in the news for lacking all sense of boundaries and respect. For example, this happened a few days ago at Windsor Palace: Considering all the similar incidents posted on Youtube, this happens fairly often. Today, two teenage boys were convicted of stealing artifacts from the Auschwitz museum. In March, two young women were arrested for carving their initials into the Roman Colosseum, then, naturally, taking selfies with their defacement. Disney theme parks have just banned selfie sticks, as have a growing number of tourist spots and sports venues, due to safety and annoyance factors. Then, there are these people, with 10,000 such photos posted on social media as of August, 2014.* No single group takes the blame for the majority of this behavior. It seems evenly spread among many nationalities, but one shared quality seems to be youth. Tourist behaving badly.kmz (806 B)
