This building, (since demolished), was part of the National Cash Register (NCR) company during WW2 and housed the United States Navy Computing Machine Laboratory. NCR were beginning electrical versus mechanical counting at that time so it was logical that U.S. efforts in breaking the Kriegsmarine 4-rotor Enigma machine code should be based here.
