You can measure the distance between camera and object.
One frame further on, the thing is still visible , this time behind the car, as a black done above the blue and red sign .
If the chance is to one tenth the size, then it is now 10 times further away...
Also, it must be that the distance is less than the movement of the car in the time of that frame...
or to say that another way, the distance of the 2nd shot is approx the same as the distance of the movement..
Basically it looks really tiny at 40 metres, and it looks butterfly size at 4 metres...
