Good day all
I am newish user of Google earth pro. I am training to do permaculture design work, and I do application maps for farmers, I am increasingly using google earth.
I have been frustrated by losing work I have done, is there anyway to set up a backup? Any other file management advice? Any advice to help me not lose work.
I live in South Africa and unexpected power outages is a factor.
Thanks in advance

Hi Wyn and welcome to the board Kaptein! ( ;
When you create kmz content (placemarks, lines, polygons,..) on GE you see them on the left panel, in Places (Temporary places, ..all the same), but these are not automatically saved to your computer so you have to right click and 'Save place as'... If power outage is a frequent issue around you then you should do this frequently while working.
Also a basic advice can be, that if you have multiple kmz items (placemarks, lines, polygons,..) for an exact project then use a Folder (right click on Places panel / 'Add folder') and place all of your related placemarks in it.
(No backup settings I know about)
Best, G
