The scales of geographic terminologies about the geographic history of the Earth and life are often quite difficult to understand. The attached file with the great navigation features of Google Earth may help.
The illustration is composed of officially defined ICS time scales and is divided into three sections with different time-pixel multipliers to make the length of the periods cognizable and comparable.
