water holes with no water(!) and by such density? It makes no sense for me...

The first one looks like holes at left, with water in them, and lumps at the right which are where the farmer put the material from each hole.

By that date and altitude (compass to N) only edges of holes can cast such shadows and shadows look the same on both sides of the image. These are all holes.
The only lump is me around here...
