Tristar Air was an Egyptian cargo airline that ferried cargo between Europe and Africa. The airline's sole aircraft, an Airbus A300B4-200F [SU-BMZ], was on a flight from Oostende, Belgium, to Mogadishu International Airport, Somalia, on 12 October 2015 with cargo on behalf of the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM).

After several failed landing attempts on the unlit airfield, a lack of fuel made an emergency landing necessary. The six crew members survived with minor injuries. The plane was set on fire years later.
