I'll publish an update in April. I'm trying to find a way to speed-up updates (as there's a TON of new finds). I think for now I'm going to take off the direct link to each page of this thread and just list the submitter name. Also, I'll do what I do for the StreetView collection and only update "lost" finds (I.e. look for outdated finds) on whole number updates (2.0, 3.0, 4.0) and use the smaller updates to add finds (1.5, 1.6).

Also - it's interesting that imagery dates are 1 day further in Europe than they are in North America. When willi1 submits his finds, they're always labeled as a day in the future for me (for him it's April 5, 2018 and for me it's April 4, 2018).

I think to make it easier, I'll put a note into the description of the collection to say that the dates may be off by +/- one day.

Google imagery has been wonky recently. I remember opening this and seeing it there, but now when I click on it it's gone, and nowhere in historical imagery. There's a whole swath of imagery missing, as I noticed whilst updating one of my other collections.

I have already noticed that and am amazed at it. The time stamp is actually a historical date and should not be linked to a regional time zone. Would be worth asking Google Earth directly.

Amazing. The plane are here. But you zoom in - the date will change.

Thanks for the tip willi1. I was able to see the plane when I zoom out. As I zoom in, the date changes from 8/10/2018 (I presume it is 10th August 2018) to 9/27/2020 (27th Nov, 2020) and the plane vanishes.

Asked in a Google Help thread - curious if anyone responds.

That zooming in/out for appearing/disappearing imagery - I've actually seen this before with cargo ships and airplanes over water, but I hadn't seen it on land before.

It's not a new feature (or bug), but it's really kind of annoying, especially with small things you want to zoom into.

Hi!

Probably some fresh stuff to military(?) section I have spotted recently.

A series of GE Photo layer shots near Taganrog, Russia depicting an IL-76 locator plane as being fueled in flight by an IL-76 aerial refueling tanker plane if my ID is correct. It is some kind of a test-flight as can be read on photo titles.

No SV and no sat/aerial either - it is some "GE Photo layer in flight", I did not find a better place to post it.
