Sad news from us today... After 9 years Ernie has died. He died last night 20th August 2010, He was a bit strange , He didn't want to come inside from his Aviary, or have his favourite Honey or anything. He stayed behind the couch. We had to go out for an hour and half, When we got home, he was still in the same place, but not moving. My wife wrapped a cloth around him. And we are gonna Bury him tomorrow.. It is very Quiet here now. But we are OK. Hopefuly 2 of our younger Grandchildren who have grown up with him as part of our family can join us for his burial. RIP Ernie... You were a great little buddy.

I'm i no position at this forum to claim that I followed Ernie from the start. Still, like Hill states, great updates. It's always hard to loose, surely also pets. Ernie was surely a top parrot and seemingly even good at spoiling computer and internet connections :-) - I think, a good pet and parrot!

Oh NO! I feel terrible about that news! It seemed that Ernie belonged to all of us, even though we never met him. My sympathy to you and Coleen, Norm, and I am sure the little ones will be very, very sad.
RIP, little rainbow.

This photo from 2010 Thank-you for your thought every body.. We are finding ourselves still looking down to make sure he is not underfoot.. Closing doors carefully in case he comes running through.. The Daily routine has changed completely He will be missed.. There is nothing we can do to bring a loved one back but we do have our memories and treasured photos and videos.. For the last few months I have been going through several hundred VHS tapes that I have videoed and Extracting Video clips for our Families Facebook page.. Many had never seen them - Dating back to 1990 We have also decided that we are going to be 'Petless' now.. I have to now going to try and train Coleen to splash around in Ernie's Bath :-)

Oh Norm, I'm sorry to hear that. Ernie was a real character. I remember finding some gobbledygook in my chat logs one morning because Ernie had walked over the keyboard

Holy cats! Snowy has lots of heating pads for the winter. I count 11 in this shot, so you have 16? Where do you and Mel sleep?

Here is Jambo investigating the amazingly huge tumbleweed that blew into my front yard last night! The weather report said there would be wind, but...geez! It would have had to roll at least 1.5 miles down a hill (where these bushes grow), across an expressway, over the main canal, past a lot of houses and into my yard. Tumbleweed.kmz (755 B)

In last september our beloved ' Blöki' doggy has gone. Suffered not much, he died of old age, the doctor said. The good old fellow had been bemoarned well and last friday a new best favorite of the family has arrived. A 8 weeks old, short tailed black Mudi. After some fraternization the family decided to name him Bundás (Furry) and I only can hope it will not turn into Fury...(: If you happen to bumping around in Indiana, USA on Saturday, October 1, 2016., you can meet the breed personally on the 6 th Mudi National Speciality organised by the Mudi Club of America: MCA - 6th national speciality.kmz (856 B)

I'm sorry to hear about your old gentleman, Blöki. Now you have a cute little one to keep you company! I've never heard of that breed, it's really beautiful from what I see in your link. Since he's a herding dog, he might really turn into Fury!

... cute little one to keep you company! ... he might really turn into Fury! neither cute, nor even so little one by now..(: quick as lightning, barks everything, tears up everything, digging up everything, might be harmful or fatal to every living organism. ...all the family love him!(: Bundás at his best:

Bundás tries to behave himself: *** Kormos (Smutty) little cat as a matter of fact she is 'Smutty The 2 nd', only need not to add number since her mother moved to a more safe place, away from Bundi Doggy...(: Kormi McCormack: best breed, semi-wild, 3-color mouse killer. notice the dim, rusty-red pattern (on face and tail) the only color that keeps symmetry on her fur! btw, cats and doggy get along - quite- well.

Bundás looks very innocent - haha! - and Kormos looks like a big bruiser! I love her funny fur. I agree, semi-wild is the best mouser, especially females. I had one like that (but ordinary grey striped coat) and she used to terrorize me with all the half-alive things she would bring to the door or into the house: mice, gophers, toads, lizards, a seagull and a snake. Of course, then put them down so they could run all over the place...argghhh! I have never had such a big serial killer as she was! I lived next to a big field, so that was her killing field. My current cat has not been so obsessed with killing things and now he is 17 years old, so not as agile.

Uh-oh, I think birdie needs more than ID. Maybe a heart transplant? Really, that dog is adorable, even after a brutal murder! My old cat, Jambo, died of kidney failure last fall. I just didn't feel like writing about it at the time. He was almost 18 years old. A photo from about 2012... No new pet, yet, maybe there will and maybe there won't be one.

Heart breaking news. Snowy was rushed to the vet's and had a ruptured spleen, when opened up, she had bleeding cancer legions on her liver. She was put to sleep at midnight.

2 of my 3 former dogs died in cancer, only Blöki aka Yellow Dog died of old-age. (He lived more than 20 years.)
So sorry Steve!

Very sad news Steve.
We had Daisy put to sleep two months ago. She had suffered two strokes and never recovered. We still have her sister Belle (14yo), the cat Jack (also 14yo) and Cosmo the bird (at a young 7yo). We all know how spoiled and much loved part of your family Snowy was and I will miss her adventures.
