It's been a while since I've popped my head in, so I'll do so with a revisited thread from the old days featuring some new vehicles mixed in with some old favorites that are still visible in default SV imagery. I no longer use GE for any type of street view browsing whatsoever, so I will no longer be posting kml's to this thread. Instead, I'll be serving up some GMSV links. The original Dream Cars thread in the old GEC can be found HERE. As always, I encourage anyone to chime in and add any vehicles of their choosing, either with single or multiple finds. This initial post will be a larger one to prime the pump a bit. And we'll begin with these : 1970's Ford Mustang Mach 1 - Lawton, OK1967 Corvette Stingray - Naples, FLLamborghini Aventador - LondonFerrari California - LondonBristol 411 - LondonMcLaren MP4-12C - LondonRolls Royce Classic 4 convertible - ParisEarly '70's Mustang Mach 1 - Beverly HillsFerrari F430 - Beverly Hills1954 Chevy Bel Air - Beverly HillsRolls Royce Ghost - Beverly Hills1965 Chevy Impala SS - Crestview, FLPontiac Firebird Trans Am - Fowlerville, MI1970's Plymouth Duster 340 - Howell, MIPorsche 928 - Treasure Island, CAJaguar C-X16 - Hollywood, CATesla Roadster - BostonMercedes SLS AMG - DubaiFerrari FF and Maserati Ghibli - DubaiFerrari FF - DubaiFerrari 458 - Constanta, Romania1960's Plymouth Barracuda and a 1972 Dodge Charger- Gardena, CA1957 Ford Thunderbird convertible - Westhampton Beach, NY1972 Dodge Challenger - Oklahoma CityClassic Mustang - Sarasota, FLFisker Karma - Clearwater, FLLotus Eclat - Namur, BelgiumBatmobile - Batman and Batman Returns - Six Flags Over Georgia...and... The Zombie Killer - Burbank, CA
Whew!! There were more of these than I thought. But I ain't done yet. Along the way, you're bound to bump into (HA!) a few of these : Mustang vs Sedan - San Francisco, CA...and... Russian Bumper Cars - St Petersburg
And guess what - I still ain't finished. Here are a few previously posted finds still out there, which I will sprinkle in to each update : De Tomasa Pantera and Ford GT - Alexandria, VA
Rare 1965 TVR Griffith 400 - Surrey, UK...and... Classic Aston Martin DBS - Heusden, NLOkay. That's it. Sort of. Being that it's on topic with the whole Street View and Cars theme, I'll also throw in an animation I did a while back, featuring SV's Pegman as James Bond. Here he meets Peggy, and a car chase through SV imagery ensues. Go easy on me, though. I'm not exactly Pixar over here. Enjoy.
Car count - 56

Hey, thanks for the additions, ET. The Maserati is a Quattroporte. Great finds, keep 'em comin'!
And thanks Hill. I can't seem to view it outside of my home computer, so I wasn't sure if it was even visible. It took a while to do, but someday I'll resurrect ol' Peg.
More dream cars coming soonly...

Thanks Gregg! About Peggy...modeling, texturing and rigging Pegman took less than 30 minutes, however Peggy took over a week. I threw out several designs before finally settling on the high-heeled blond version I created. Incidentally, she was named by Barnstormer, in this old GEC thread. Thanks Barns! If you're interested, I also created a "gag and blooper reel" animation of the gun-barrel intro. That can be viewed here. That animation took a looooooooooooooong time to complete, so in the very unlikely event that I ever create another, it will be awhile. As long as I'm here, I may as well ante up a few more vehicles to the kitty, this time some oddballs that wouldn't otherwise be included in this thread, either as weirdly interesting rides or honorable mentions, like these : Customized Alfa Romeo 147 - Mannheim, Germany3rd Generation Dodge Challenger "General Lee" - Miami BeachFor posterity, here's an authentic one : 1969 Dodge Charger "General Lee" - Nashville, TN
Grass Car - Moscow1970's Citroen SM - Kirkland, WAPikachu Bus - Yokahama, JapanThe Pikachu bus in action : Pikachu Bus 02- Yokahama, JapanMitsubishi 3000GT - Melbourne
Ugliest Jag XK8 ever - Moscow3rd Gen Pontiac Firebird Trans Am - Santa Monica, CAOpel Speedster - MunichStock Corvette C7 Stingray - Las VegasAnd an obviously rear-wheel-drive gem in Kiev :There will be more "proper" dream cars, such as this one... ...coming soon.

This thread has really grown since I last looked! I don't seem to see any dream cars - maybe I do and just don't know what I'm seeing. Another reason might be because I've been using SV in Russia and Lesotho, lately...what can I say? Now, when we get Cuba SV fired up we'll be all over that place like a cheap suit!

Nice find, ET. She's also parked in a lot right down the street, captured a few moments later. Diane, you ain't foolin' nobody. We've seen your awesome photos of some old classics around town, we're just looking for ones a wee bit shinier ; ) If and when Pegman visits Cuba, we'll certainly have our hands full, but I was there recently as well, and, well...okay, there are plenty of awesome classics, but 90% + are Chevy Bel Air's, which are so common here in the States that I rarely give 'em a second look - even the shiny ones. It'd still make for a great hunt, however. I'll put up another round soon, and if anyone is interested in inheriting this thread and keeping it going, it's all yours. ET, your first in line. Here's that awesome Ford GT I eluded to earlier, as well as : 1930's Ford Tudor sedan ...and... 1949 Chevy Coupe ...and... 1967 Chevy Camaro SS ...and... 1950's Studebaker Commander ...and... BMW i8 ...and... Lamborghini Aventador ...and perhaps the rarest car in this thread to be found roaming the streets... 1960's Ferrari 250 GTONot really roaming the streets, more like VEEEEEERY carefully being loaded into a swanky trailer, but it was attracting some attention. Anyway, there's more. Later.

LOVE the cute Studebaker and my grandson would jump out of my car if he saw that '67 Camaro on the street. Excuse my somewhat off-topic entry, but as I said, I've been exploring Russian SV and have seen no dream cars. However, it seems that Lada is a popular Russian-made auto. Here is, apparently, the Lada dealer in a Siberian city called Nefteyugansk. (I dare you to pronounce that.) Side view of building. The white car is not a reflection. It is inside the building and, presumably, a Lada. There appears to be a cafe at the front entrance. For your full viewing enjoyment: Lada.kmz (798 B) Most cars in the small cities are Russian cars and Nissans. For luxury cars, I should probably try Moscow and St. Petersburg.

Thanks Diane. I was actually forced to drive an old Lada for a couple of months years ago during an OSD. They're quite popular in the middle east as well, at least in terms of having an old beater handy for the Americans to drive around. Mine felt as if I was getting my badonkadonk hammered by a rail gun turret fitted with rail road spikes and dipped in hot lead. Other than that, it was a fine automobile. ET, Citroen's aren't exactly dreamy, but they are stylish, such as this 1970's Citroen SM I happened upon in Washington : I've tagged a couple of DS's as well that I never planned on including, but thanks to you I just might... It's a more sensible ride to work than this M1165-A1 Humvee I found in New York City, but nowhere near as much fun
