And for the record: Steve Kent has a PhD and is the Professor, Department of Astronomy and Astrophysics, at the University of Chicago. He also worked on some projects at Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) which is from whom Google got this particular imagery ... so he has some credibility.
