The airfield in late 1943 shows little damage. The 50+ T-shaped structures are, according to Chriusha, likely assembly sheds. Tempelhof assembled Ju 87's from 1940 until early 1945. Thereafter FW 190's were built here. This was done in the tunnels at the airfield by slave labour. Perhaps the tunnels were too cramped for final assembly, hence the sheds. Given the unreliability of the date of these aerial photographs, it is difficult to state just what was being assembled in these sheds. Set time slider to 1943. Tempelhof 1943.kmz (1.64 KB)
