Xiaozhai Tiankeng, located in east central China is, at least for now, the world's largest sinkhole . China is home to about 50 out 75 of the world's largest sinkholes. Chinese geologists have suggested the name tiankeng for really large sinkholes which are defined as being "deeper and wider than 100 meters ( about 328 feet ).
